Einstein Knew
I have not posted in almost three months. Don't know why, especially since the current administration provides a wealth of idiocy to harangue about. How could I have passed up the leak, Katrina, the lies, etc.? I have no excuse.
But I have to come back swinging when I see the Bush approval rating between 37 and 39 percent, depending on which poll you trust. Take a close look at that number. This means that nearly 2 in every 5 people believes that Bush is doing a marvelous job. 2 in 5!!! Can anyone out there explain this? I know that I can't definitively, but will posit a theory here.
Probably the majority of these folks are in that group of lemmings that go to church every week and follow without question what is fed to them from the pulpit. As has been frequently reported a large number of churches are now directing their congregants in the matters of politics, making the weekly Sunday visit a one-stop for their dose of salvation and Bush. After that they have no need to peruse CSPAN, Meet the Press, or any other media outlet that exposes the criminality of the Bush administration. Just give them their NASCAR and all is well with the world.
Einstein nailed it when he said "Unthinking respect for authority is the greatest enemy of truth".
'Nuff said.
