Blurbage
The following cannot be classified as full-fledged harangues, but I need to put this stuff somewhere so here goes:
Speeding – I am continually amazed but the large number of people who believe that driving at a speed in excess of the posted limit is OK. This is akin to everyone who legally owns a gun, constantly shooting it at other people but never hitting anyone.
Criminals On-board – Did anyone else notice that the killing of the bi-polar passenger came and went with little criticism or analysis? No one anywhere mentioned the fact that every passenger was treated as a criminal as they deplaned with their hands over their heads. A guy gets killed for no really good reason and nobody pays attention, but a rich white girl goes missing and we are constantly bombarded about it.
Hey! – I must be the only person to notice that Gary Glitter, the rock star who was convicted of child pornography, is in trouble yet again, this time for allegedly abusing two girls, 11 and 12 years old, in Vietnam. That is the only excuse that all of the idiots who mindlessly yell “Hey” when his song “Rock and Roll Part Two” is played in the sports stadiums and arenas must have. I am surprised that major league sports have not issued a mandate to stop playing his music at their games.
