Pulpit Freedom Sunday
Strategists at the Alliance Defense Fund, an outfit founded by TV and radio preachers, are yet again urging pastors to openly violate federal law by endorsing or opposing candidates from tax-exempt pulpits. They call this stunt “Pulpit Freedom Sunday.”

I would hope that most Americans would get up and walk out of church if their priest, pastor, minister, etc. started spewing political endorsements. If you witness such an activity I urge you to do so and also report this person to the IRS.

Setting aside the irrelevance of the anonymous comment to the posted topic, and unlike Mitt Romney I have nothing to hide. Could the IRS find something amiss in my tax returns? Probably, due to errors that would net them a few additional pennies or possibly they would owe me a refund. they would certainly not uncover any blatant disregard for the law as is the case of these preachers telling their congregations how to vote.
I'm sure you need to pay more than pennies !!!!
Still not sure what relevance that my taxes have on the original post. These preachers are breaking the law in a blatant fashion and face no penalty. Everyone reading this should be upset, as this is one of the major contributors to the polarization that our country is now experiencing, which is standing in the way of progress.
By the way, I just realized that I did not claim the sales tax for a car that I purchased lat year. 1040X, here I come!
