Breakfast in a Red State

While driving through Virginia I stopped for a late breakfast at a Cracker Barrel. At 11:15 AM there was a 45-minute wait for a table. I could not believe it. I wanted to jump up on the counter and scream "This is a RED state. Why aren't you people in church? Shouldn't you be singing hymns and congratulating one another on your moral superiority?" But I didn't. I just left, hungry.

Mine never "finishes up" because I do not need some tax-dodging, head-in-the-sand, beaurocratic institution to mis-interpret a man-made cook book and try to dictate to me how I should live my life.
