Oh Really? Where is the Outrage?
On Sunday morning, Christian Coalition founder Pat Robertson told TV viewers nation-wide that the threat posed by liberal judges is "probably more serious than a few bearded terrorists who fly into buildings." When an incredulous George Stephanopoulos asked if Robertson really believed that these judges posed "the most serious threat America has faced in nearly 400 years of history, more serious than al Qaeda, more serious than Nazi Germany and Japan, more serious than the Civil War?," he responded, "George, I really believe that."
When Ward Churchill, a professor at the University of Colorado, said in an essay that the folks in the twin towers who support the financing of Israel are viewed by some in the Muslim community as evil as the Eichmans of Nazi Germany, all hell broke loose for him, after his this portion of his essay was taken out of context and plastered all over the networks. But Robertson gets away with a comment that he fully intended to make and stands behind, without anyone anywhere challenging him?
Since no one else has the guts to say it I will. Pat Robertson is as evil and full of hate as anyone that you can find in the radical Muslim community, or probably anywhere else. The world would be a better place if he were not permitted to make any statements in public or in private to anyone ever again.
Where is your outrage America? Or maybe I should ask were is your conscience? I know that our state-run media is not providing any balance or even a fraction of what is really going on in the world (CNN today had a 5-minute segment on ipod speakers and just a few sentences about the elections in the UK) . But when you see or hear this stuff you should be demanding that this guy be held accountable for these ridiculous comments and urged to stop brainwashing the lemmings who tune into him everyday and mindlessly send him millions of tax-free dollars to spread his hate.
